If I had to move house 5 times in 8 months ....... (and had a few snake dramas thrown in too!)

So - how many times do you think you could be forced to move before 'cracking it'?

Yesterday we went down to visit Songalendu-Karabaka-Kigoya where 4 Amari staff and a few students are still living. And are about to 'get chased' away by rising waters. Yet again. How much can a person take???

Amari staff member Richard had his house taken over by floods in May this year. Now, he is in his fourth house. Which is again about to be flooded out. You can see the water behind. And there is just as much water in front.

He is building a couple of hundred meters away more inland. But that too, may only hold out a couple of months if the waters keep moving inland.

What does that do psychologically to a person? A person with the responsibility of caring for a large family, and extended family?

If I was in that position, how much could I take?? (Oh, and that's without factoring in a cobra or 2 slithering across your front yard. And menacingly stopping and raising it's neck ..... )

The flood waters are now about 25m and 17m behind the Amari fence. I check them every day. While I'm not unduly worried (it's not under my control, and I'm in no immediate danger of getting flooded out, and if I do, can move up to the school classrooms), it does consume a lot of my thinking ..... how much more so for these precious people and their families?
